Oedo 808
Look, isn't it wonderful? http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/local/new-train-stations-are-magic-ingredient-for-keeping-aberdeen-economy-on-track-1.168868 Um, no. DanClews
How about we make the train line from Aberdeen heading North two rails? If a train breaks down between Dyce and Aberdeen it stops all trains. So no, currently train travel isn't wonderful. It's as bottlenecked as all our transport routes. I've played my fair share of Sim City, and I know that to encourage development you have to bulldoze a few houses to get better roads in.
FatHand
Whatever that is it looks terrible.
The Milner
What another great use of council money, wonder if we will get to vote on it?
Old Gold
What another great use of council money, wonder if we will get to vote on it? You do. At election time. Anyway, they should build a Monorail. Like we've said all along.

MattJimF
I don't really see why they have a picture of the Halliday plans for UTG, when the council have said that's not going ahead, with a article about a new train station at the new AECC in Dyce. Guess it's just the EE being sneaky in trying to keep the UTG redevelopment in the public mind.
Frosty Jack
I don't really see why they have a picture of the Halliday plans for UTG, when the council have said that's not going ahead, with a article about a new train station at the new AECC in Dyce. Guess it's just the EE being sneaky in trying to keep the UTG redevelopment in the public mind.This. This picture is not what the Council are proposing here. Whether they actually know what they want to do with the City Centre is a different matter, but it's not this. If you want to know anything about the Council, city centre regeneration or whatever, the last place you should look is the Evening Express. Graeme
First Aberdeen was going to be saved by Trumps golf course and then Union Terrace Pazza/Square/Gardens and now a Train Station.
Surfer_Rosa
A train station at UTG is literally about 100m fro the platform at Union Square. That is the most ridiculous idea i've seen for a long time. What's the fucking point? Well it's just as well the proposed plan that included that got rejected a long time ago, and nobody at the council is proposing that now. The EE are just shit.
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
A platform at the other side of the airport would be a lovely idea.
pogofish
Never mind the monorail, what about the moving pavements we were assured were just a couple of years away in the 1960s plans! Anyway, they should build a Monorail. Like we've said all along.
