Chris
Haven't posted anything I've recorded for a while. In preparation for playing a wee gig on Sunday I've recorded a rough acoustic version of Erin Go Bragh. Would be good to hear people's thoughts. Lyin Ryan
It's a nice tune, quite a sensitive performance, almost dreamy, thanks for sharing
ca_gere
The tune is nice but the singing needs a bit of work in my opinion. Sounds as if you (or whoever is singing) is a little unsure of their voice.
Guest E.C
agree with ca_gere on the singing, but also it's just verse after verse after verse which makes me lose interest very quickly.i don't know if that was a deliberate choice in order to aid with the 'story' of the song, but it just got a little tedious, i thought. all for singing in doric/scots though, so it's nice to hear that. Chris
i don't know if that was a deliberate choice in order to aid with the 'story' of the song, but it just got a little tedious, i thought. It's a traditional ballad, so aside from breaking it up with an instrumental section (which may not be that interesting if it's just me and an acoustic) there's not much room to play with the format. As for the singing, I feel my vocals are improving a lot. I recorded this after a practice session so might have been a bit of tiredness creeping in. Certainly my fingers were feeling it after an hour and a half on the acoustic. Thanks for the comments folks.
