Niall - SubsidiaN
Hey all,Just wondering if any folk in other bands have been warned by the police about noise pollution. We were practicing today and they came and complained about the drum kit noise level. So I need advice - all you people who have been warned by police how did you solve the issue?Later all,NiallSubsidian. Guest neil ex
yeah, sound proofing your room might be an idea.
Niall - SubsidiaN
We were just practicin in the garage. We checked out the law on the ineternet and as far as we can see they can't do much. It's basically a sense of common decency - but as far as i'm concerned, if we practice at 2 o clock on a tuesday when everyone's at work then there aint a problem. The Milner
Yup thats the way i would do it.As long as your not going to crazy you'll find the cops wont bother their ass most of the time.
Niall - SubsidiaN
Also, soundproofing would be good but doesn't it cost a couple of grand or aso to effectgively dampen out drums in a garage?!?! Plus, we can't really afford to practice at tom's hehe. Damn the cops!
Afro Droid
Then again, why take the chance when sound-proofing a garage is a pretty straight forward job? Hope you like omelettes!
lepeep
I thought people can only compain after 10PM and before 8AM...so I'd say the "complainant" was chummy with a pig, or the pig dun't like your choonz. Tell him to "go shit in his hat" and tell him rascist jokes, to keep him on your side.how many police men does it take to break an egg ? none, it fell down the stairs itself
Ewan U.N.C.L.E.
If someone complains the cops HAVE to go and deal. but if its within the acceptable times theres not much they can do other than ask you to turn it down in which case you turn it down a little but until they go away otherwise theyll probably 'do you' for being a bit shit. I think if the yget a second complaint they can do a bit more but thats never happened to me.did that make sense, i dont know.
