RICKY WARWICK

Ricky Warwick returns to the Moorings Bar for a third show, armed only with his battered acoustic guitar, sleeve-tattooes, and set of classics. Prior to Black Star Riders touring this Autumn, he'll be on the road in the UK this July playing solo acoustic tracks encompassing his career to date - songs from his solo albums, The Almighty, Thin Lizzy and BSR will all feature in the set.
Northern Ireland born Ricky is probably best known as the frontman for The Almighty. Starting out as a rhythm guitarist in New Model Army, Ricky formed The Almighty in 1988. The Glaswegians had a string of chart-bothering hits, appearing on TOTP and releasing some cracking albums.
In 2006 joined the band Circus Diablo with Billy Duffy (The Cult), and in April 2009, Warwick released his third solo album, '"Belfast Confetti", continuing in the largely acoustic guitar based approach of his previous two solo albums - he has in the past toured Europe supporting Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crowe and Keith Caputo. In 2010 he joined Thin Lizzy as singer. In December 2012, he co-founded the Thin Lizzy spin-off band, Black Star Riders - their first album is just out.

ACOUSTIC TV

The tour will be a co-headline with Tony Wright from Terrorvision, who along with Milly, will be presenting their Acoustic TV set.

Bradfor's Terrorvision need little introduction. The re-release of "My House" in 1994 proved to be Terrorvision's breakthrough to success, and preceded by months the release of their second album "How To Make Friends And Influence People". The leading single from that album, "Oblivion", was also a success. All subsequent singles achieved Top 40 entries in the UK, culminating in the release of "Tequila", which reached number 2. I'm pretty sure you know that one.

Since splitting up, singer Tony Wright has formed a band, Laika Dog, as well as worked as a dry stone waller, in case you wondered.

Plus! DJ Jester with his clubnight 'JOKERS WILD'.

Live music begins around 9pm. The clubnight runs from 11pm-3am.
