Alkaline
It's photos like the above that remind me that the one on the right really shouldn't be considered a "dog". The proper dog on the left looks good though.
The Milner
Izzy's a great wee dog, can walk for hours on end, does what she is told most of the time, plays fetch, doesnt bark at the cat, couldnt really of asked for much more.

The Milner
People with dogs tell me, is it normal for a dog to hide treats you give her around the house? I keep picking up jumpers or bags and finding treats either under them or inside them, or she hides them under the edge of the sofa, i thought they were suppose to eat the bloody things! MattJimF
It'll be the best thing she can get to digging. We used to have a dog that would bury things under the duvets, we constantly had to check there were no bones before going to bed.
ca_gere
My dog does this too. They have to satisfy their natural urge to dig, totally normal. You could curb the behaviour if it becomes a problem but it's not gonna do any harm. My dog does this cute thing where she 'nuzzles' the air with her nose as if she's covering the bone she just hid behind a cusion with dirt. It's way too adorable to want to stop.
The Milner
Nah its funny to watch, i just always give her a treat and thought she went through the house to eat it, but i followed her last night and she bascially wanders around the house with it in her mouth until she can find a good place to hide it. Its pretty cute to be honest. On a related note, the cat seems a bit more happy with the dog the past few days, they have even had a wee play with each other this morning because neither wants to go out in the rain. Fingers crossed it keeps up
Flights
I'm sure once Scampi gets over the whole 'oh, she's staying' she'll be fine.We had a similar issue with Willow and Maisie a few weeks ago. Probably because Willow, like Scampi, realised the puppy was here to stay. Willow just wanted nothing to do with the puppy and ignored me and Claire for a few days. One night she expressed her fury by not eating her supper for around 5 minutes. Took them out on a big walk together. Best of pals. Maisie has discovered she can kinda swim. Since falling into a rock pool trying to get a crisp packet a few nights ago it's become a task keeping her out of water.

Flights
Is there a set method for teaching your dog to swim?Maisie loves to jump into rockpools but after about 40 seconds of being able to doggy paddle she just loses it and either gets really panicky or disappears under the water. Scootray
Mac's howlin' in the toon... The guy in the background is on an important business call and is visibly distressed that Mac is ruining his chance of mega-bucks. Good on you, Mac.
