Lemonade
I went to a lot less fims than normal this year, way way less in fact, and almost all of them were big budget popcorn-fodder. Still, off the top of my head, I liked these:The Dark Knight Rises21 Jump StreetThe AvengersTedThe MuppetsThe Descendants
ca_gere
Wikipedia entries? LolI probably say this every year but it wasn't a great year for films. Best one I saw was 'Compliance'. A really tense, well acted indie film about a guy who calls fast food chains an talks the manager into strip searching her employee.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1971352/
paime
The Muppets was a terrible movie imho.I thought Lawless was pretty decent and Ed Hardy has generally won the Hollywood race this year with him performances.I saw 7 psychopaths last week and thought i was alright, much better than expected. Lucius
The Muppets had a strange effect on me. Anytime I watched it I walked round with a smile on my face for days afterwards. The Dark Knight Rises: In my opinion, better than The Dark Knight but I know pretty much no-one agrees with me.The Avengers has taken up most of my movie viewing spare time. 4 times in the cinema, twice on the plane going to Canada and twice on the way back and now multiple viewings on Bluray.Honourable mentions to: The Desecedants, Moonrise Kingdom, Looper, Silver Linings Playbook, Skyfall, The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists!, Cabin In The Woods. The Guilty Pleasure Award goes to Here Comes The Boom. A shit movie but entertaining. Lemonade
The Muppets had a strange effect on me. At the fucking Muppets. The only bad part of it was Jack Black.
Old Gold
Looking back, it's been a hell of a year for decent popcorn flicks. Still a lot I wouldn't mind seeing still.I don't think I saw a single 3D film either, which was great.
Paranoid Android
The Dark Knight Rises: In my opinion, better than The Dark Knight but I know pretty much no-one agrees with me.I agree with you. Batman Begins is better than both of them though.
Camie
Shame(it was realesed here in January so can I still say this?) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shame_%282011_film%29The Raid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Raid:_RedemptionArgoLawlessDark Knight RisesShame is probably my favourite film of the year with Lawless being a close second.Honourable mentions to Sightseers, Killer Joe and End Of Watch. The Milner
I think the only 3 new films i saw this year were Goon (was that this year?!) Skyfall and American Pie.New films suck, its all about cheesy 80's action flicks.
Paranoid Android
Some film blog guy made this video for his top 25 films of the year. I've not seen most of them but the video is nice at least.55071466I don't ever really see that many films in the year they were released. The ones I do see tend to be the better known ones, like James Bond or Batman, that a lot of people talk about and I don't want to miss out on. Other films I'll get a hold of a while later once a few friends have recommended it.

Moose
I agree with you. Batman Begins is better than both of them though.Sames. I'd rate them in chronological order. I do think they're all fucking great though. Right up my street.

Captain America
That film blew, hard. They should have given up after the second one.Says the man that included Ted in his films. It was like shitter acted family guy!
Soda Jerk
I've only seen Ted and Batman from this year. I liked Ted more than Batman. Ted was pretty awful really, but the jokes were there. Patrick Warburton needed a bigger part.
