psydoll
I still like them both a lot but if I had to choose one I'd say Lostprophets but ask me again once they've got four albums out and it'll be a fairer comparison
metallica_jaco
this is the stupidest thread ever, what twat compares legends like the foo fighters to some shitty band like lost prophets who havnt been around for a decade
Guest Jake Wifebeater
The comparison is null, void and irrelevant. They are both utterly fucking revolting.
medichi
Both have their merits, but I listen to Lost Prophets much more. BUt still, FF are a classic rock band, in all senses of the term....hmmmm.......I go with Foo Fighters, but fully realise they are the band with the long term success guaranteed.... Swingin' Ryan
The Foo Fighters have some really good songs, especially Aurora. The Lost Prophets have NO SONGS......I don't just mean they have no GOOD songs....they have NO SONGS. Lawy Lawson:Attorney
Foo Fighters are one of those "festival bands" I've got a (possibly irrational)thing against. They're not pushing any envelopes and their not really exciting in any way, shape or form (or should that be colour or shape! lol!). They're not "bad" though, just...dull. Twenty years from now people will be pissing their kids off by listening to them in the car. Maybe it's not the Foo Fighter's fault, perhaps it's the ridiculous amount of airplay they receive, but that's not really valid since TVs and Radios have off switches. I just wish they did more than mildly entertaining RAWK music.Lost Prophets are a boy band and the Faith No More/Duran Duran thing rings true. They aren't as offensive as Good Charlotte and they used to have cool video game related tracks and stuff, but they strike me as over-produced, cynical and easily marketable to kids with sideways hair. chris h
Lost Prophets, by a country mile. I can't stand them. They just seem so fake, and that 'Burn, Burn' thing was one of the worst songs (and videos) I've encountered in a long while. And yes, they do indeed shamelessly rip off Adamski. As well as churning out diluted, insipid, powerless rock music with an MTV friendly image to match. Foo Fighters have, in my opinion, been responsible for some great records, though they haven't released anything particularly inspiring for some time. The first album and parts of the second are touched with genius, and 'Everlong' is one of the finest songs of the 1990s for me, and reminds me of being 15 Kind of a strange comparison to offer in the first place though, i thought.
