I would usually post this in the cool thinker thread but I think this is so unbelievable that it belongs in a thread of it's own, don't worry mods this is not the start of loads of threads.

Just shows you what is happening in Aberdeen behind the scenes.

It's in the Record, so it must be true.

Also there are still gangs in Aberdeen almost certainly, you don't need to read Weegie shite to work that out.

The chances of them making it up are quite slim since it is really detailed, if you research it more you will probably find out that it is true.

If you research it more, you may find yourself propping up a flyover on the Western Peripheral route. These Wops don't fuck about ;)

It's not exactly surprising. Apart from the fact that there was shitloads of press coverage when La Torre was extradited I imagine there's various organised crime factions operating in Aberdeen. It's a rich city, full of money with lots of restaurants, casinos and strip clubs. I've watched enough gangster films and The Sopranos to know that they're all run by mobsters.

It goes back further than that - for a good few years up to the mid 80s, Consolidated Pneumatic, who had a substantial factory in Fraserburgh had degenerated into a US Mafia front company (Chicago Syndicate IIRC), used largely for money laundering on a global scale. This only turned-up when the company finally went belly-up after ten years or so of being run into the ground by them.

Crime in Fraserburgh? I refuse to believe it.
