Graham Knight
It was very cloudy last night and I did not see many meteor trails. It is less cloudy tonight - hopefully it may be completely clear later on. Quite a few good trails have been visible over the last 10 minutes. My location has no street lights and this helps. The best way to see this free natural phenomena is to lie on your back on the ground and simply look up. Wait a few minutes for your eyes to get used to the darkness, avoid looking at the moon, and you will soon see the stars clearly and then you should see some trails as the meteors burn up as they enter our atmosphere. The bigger the meteor the longer and brighter the trail. If you are in a really dark location and there are no clouds you should see a meteor trail about every other minute.
