colour_organ
Saturday 30th JuneWe are happy to reveal our special guest for the end of this month...The in demand Freak N Chic & Cecille producer Alex Celler comes to Aberdeen for the first time. A Greek national by right but a Londoner by choice, Alex’s distinctive DJ style hints towards an obsessive attitude to crate digging – playing out an impressive blend of rare, old and modern tracks, his precise intuition for the right record on the dance floor mirrors his own love of the party atmosphere. Durable productions and mood-changing DJ sets have seen Alex feature as guest around the globe at respected parties at Ibiza's Underground, DC10, Amnesia and Space as well as others including Trouw (Amsterdam), Studio Martin (Bucharest), Arma 17 (Moscow), Amnesia (Milan) and at home in London - where he has become a main player in the city’s underground house scene, guesting regularly at Fabric. colour_organ
Alex Celler has asked to play a 3 hour set. Good news for all. Little bit more info for you all -At the time of writing, Alex Celler is one of only two acts that can boast to having more than one track in RA’s top 30 all-time chart. As an indicator of quality, this is an accolade which is hard to surpass.Headed up by the Area Remote released ‘La Palma’, this breakthrough track marked a turning point in his career, and was part of a sequence of records, which also included the Anthea collaborations ‘The Playmaker’ and ‘Caedmon Loop’, that established Alex in the top division of European producer / DJs.Alex’s music has a style which is energetic and intense, a tech house/techno sound full of swing, complex rhythms & deep basslines and a style which is aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Always keeping the quality levels high and choosing not to release music too frequently, the resulting demand has seen Alex continue his associations with Area Remote and Cecille, as well Tuning Spork, Freak n’ Chic, on Lauhaus’s Soweso label (as Steller). 2012 continues with new music coming on the much-esteemed Spanish label Barraca Music, the ‘Blue Vaudeville’ EP on Cecille Numbers and first appearances on Moon Harbour (with remix of Martinez’s ‘Kamino’) and as a DJ, with his debut tours of South America and the United States plus a second appearance on the Ibiza Voice podcast series.soundcloud.com/leftroom/sets/alex-celler-sourire-du-sphinxhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXUVuz9qiYc
