Diesel Posted May 19, 2012 Report Share Posted May 19, 2012 Finally, 20 longs years after I first moved up here, I made my inaugural visit to The Moorings last night with Stoney_Stu and our bandmate Ray.Great bar, great atmosphere and it seemed more like a wee community than a pub.I didn't recognise anyone apart from the boy (Flash?) who runs the bar from his photo on here and the young lad who was stamping folks hands. I think he used to date Stu's daughter.Pleasantly surprised to find that I wasn't the oldest guy in the place - by some distance - though as long as I'm with Stu and Ray, that's not an issue The bar loses a point for the bogs having an eye-watering reek of pish - the worst I've experienced in years.Also the wee fat guy with the US Civil Ward beard didn't wash his hands before leaving the bogs, the manky wee cunt.Great place, I'll be back Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
