Diesel
Hi,Can any of you mixing desk wizards answer a query for me?For reasons that I won't bore you with, I want to route a signal from an XLR input through to the stage monitors only and not the front-of-house speakers.I understand the basics of mixing desks, but there's always been someone else in the band who did all that PA stuff whilst I had a snooze in the van.The mixer is a Mackie 1642-VLZ3.Thanks. Sam 45
Just looked at a picture of the desk. I'm assuming you are using aux 1 and aux 2 for the monitors which do have a pre-fade button. So just set the channel to pre-fade, bring the signal into the chain as normal but keep the fader routed to the bottom.

Sam 45
Who'd have thought it, getting that wee mixer off you years ago didn't turn out to be a waste of time...
