1972 Black Strat

Recommended Posts

Thinking about selling said guitar. It has the case and paperwork and pretty much in mint condition given his senior years.

Can anyone recommend a good selling place and or evaluation process?

To be honest not really wanting to move it on but needs must, probably...

i'll swap you for a les paul standard!

Not looking to swap I'm afraid. Just making initial enquiries into selling options. Have a Les Paul Gold Top that is a rather spiffing and covers my mediocre guitaring needs.

Is this an American Strat by any chance?

If you can check the dating using the serial number on the headstock and the usually found where the neck bolts on then anywhere between £2500 and £3000 if its genuine American. I doubt you'd get that though in these tough economic times, its worth holding onto it in my opinion.

This is a long shot but someone once gave me a loan of a black, early 70's strat a few years back. Do you reside in Peterhead by any chance?

Its easy enough to check online, the 70's fenders sometimes had necks and body's from different years so dont panic if the body is a different age.

Im glad youre keeping it :D

I was told the same thing last night! I thought fender were also making the japanese guitars but I was a decade ahead. Need to brush up on my history.
