ca_gere
What songs really get you tapping your toes, nodding your head, poppin and locking, doing the worm, throwing down a headspin, stepping side to side whilst pointing awkwardly or however you choose to express yourself in rhythmic form?here's one to start:
girl anachronism
Usually anything by Pixies, Le Tigre's Deceptacon, Psycho Killer, Portions For Foxes by Rilo Kiley or Band of Gold will get me to dance really unfashionably. If it's been a particularly heavy night, anything by Abba, Adam and the Ants, The Beach Boys or Blondie will usually inspire some pretty avant-garde moves.(God only knows what might happen if Pure Shores by All Saints was ever to be played in a club I was in. Might redefine dance).

Especially from 1.40ish.

ca_gere
Love that Buraka Som Sistema track. Shame about the rest of the album.in a similar ethnic vibe, it's physically impossible to not move listening to this:
Lemonade
Old soul and Motown records, and 60s girl groups are usually the only things that get me on the dancefloor. Higher and Higher, Needle In A Haystack, Heatwave etc. etc.I also find it hard to resist ska. It's so danceable and it makes me grin like a goon. Paranoid Android
Love that Buraka Som Sistema track. Shame about the rest of the album.I only heard them for the first time a few days ago. That song is the stand out on the album but there are a few others I really like too.
