Hog
rock n'roll got closed down due to failing hygiene procedures, opened up 3 days later as rosemount tattoo, same staff different signSeriously? That's put me off going there then..
KarmaTsunami
Out of the Aberdeen shops I'd go to Draconian or Richard's if I wanted a small piece done. I agree with everyone who says the wait is worth it.Come to think of it, I need to start saving as I want to get my right arm or my back piece done this year. reido21
How do you know this? friends of the artists, passing and seeing the same staff that were there previously when itwas rock n' roll
Stroopy121
It was all over the Rock 'n' Roll facebook that they were kicking the Aberdeen branch off the brand because of hygiene. That said, I had work done there and had no problems. Fresh needles etc, all the usual checks. Good work, decent price and they work really quickly. Language barrier can be a bit of a pain in the arse, the receptionist speaks English but none of the artists do, so she has to work as translator.I'll still be going back though, I think there's something awfully fucking fishy about them being "closed down" for hygiene reasons but none of the artists lost their licence and the place re-opened immediately.xx
Spoonie
Getting a tattoo from someone who desn't speak the same language as you doesn't sound like an easy shift. I presume it's a straight paper to body tattoo, rather than something that takes some discussion and creative input?
Stroopy121
This particular piece is digits of Pi spanning my arm. As I said though the receptionist speaks english good and she translates what you're saying to the artist, so there's a bit of time taken to make sure everything is to your liking.xx
kirsten
This particular piece is digits of Pi spanning my arm. Dude, how big is your arm?
Captain America
Doesn't need to be very big. 3.14 doesn't take up much space...
Stroopy121
The numbers start big on my upper arm but on the lower part they will get gradually smaller until they disappear.xx
Adam Easy Wishes
I hope they make a mistake and get two numbers mixed up or something. Forever ALMOST PI.
Stroopy121
I hope they make a mistake and get two numbers mixed up or something. Forever ALMOST PI.I'm far, far to obsessive for that to happen. If it did, I'd lop my arm off, or something equally macho and stupid. MarkDrummer
I've got 3 -one done at a place in Keith. Doesn't fill you with confidence with the artist's name is 'Rusty'. Saying that, he was fine and the tattoo is fine.Had another at Retro Rebels before they closed - where did Lee go? He did it and it's the one I'm happiest with.I got one at Rock n Roll before it was renamed. Didn't see much wrong with the hygeine etc, language barrier wasn't a problem because it was simple writing on my inner bicep.Wanting someone to design my half sleeve but unsure where to go - I'll need one tattoo incorporated into it or covered up as it's on the arm I want the half sleeve on.Suggestions? It was the rock 'n' roll franchise that wanted them to remove links to their business. However as they still have a license from the Aberdeen City Council they are fully entitled to rename the premises (subject to them changing the paperwork and the council possibly reinspecting it) and remain open until their license expires, is revoked or not renewed.http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/law_licensing/licences/licensing/lic_Tattooist.asp

Teabags
It was the rock 'n' roll franchise that wanted them to remove links to their business.Considering I've heard Rock N Roll don't have the greatest reputation elsewhere in Scotland, that doesn't really bode well! empty-words
The wait at draconian is not normally more than 2/3 weeks at worst. And there is walk-ins every morning. The whole 4 month wait is a myth from well over 3 years ago.
