KarmaTsunami
For the most part I find New Year to be a bit if a disappointment considering how hyped up it gets. I've had one brilliant New Years and it was almost six/seven years ago. That said, if my girlfriend wasn't in America I'd probably be down in Glasgow having a grand old time. Surfer_Rosa
I hopefully will be having a grand old time in Glasgow. It can't be worse than last year, when I accidentally smashed my computer at our flat party and ended up sulking for the rest of the night. Paranoid Android
It's silly and pointless hyping yourself up to think New Year will be some special night if essentially you're just going out with the same people you normally would and going to usual place. Last year I went down to London and visited a group of friends I rarely get to see. The pub was expensive, crowded and played pretty crap music but I still had a great time just because I was enjoying being with my friends. If you care about having a good or memorable new year I think it's best to go away somewhere or do something you wouldn't normally.

If you'd bothered your worthless, self-centered arse with them when they were alive.......Aw, fuck it I just hate the "get pished at all costs" mentality regardless of what time of year it is. I don't understand it. I never have. It's amazing how many people can only enjoy themselves with a litre and a half of WKD in them.I'm all about the company of my friends and good, interesting conversation. Lethal10
Been out in the town since 6.30pm and it's dead. Everywhere is quiet and nowhere near a normal Saturday night. Where is everyone, gone to Granite Rocks?
Lemonade
Stuck at work at the moment, but finished soon, leg it home for a quick snack then round to the local pub. Quiet one this year.

I'd either be bouncing off the walls or writing goodbye letters to my pancreas.I'm such a lightweight. Half a bottle of Prosecco and I want to go to bed. Not much of a drinker at the best of times but sparking wines get me feeling light headed after a glass. Did start work at 6am this morning though so that is my excuse..... Lemonade
Saw in the New Year in a fairly shit pub round the corner from me, DJ playing cheesy music and loads of screechy orange girls, left at 00.30 as it was too noisy and spent the rest of it sitting in a proper old man pub, surrounded by old men drinking Guinness, no music, no singing, nothing. Awesome :-D Did enjoy my one yearly whisky. How did everyone else's New Year turn out?
Paranoid Android
I enjoyed my night a lot. Just spent the night at one friend's place but it was a lot of fun and I got to see a couple of people I haven't seen in a long time. Very drunk by the end but nothing to mad or anything to cause shame the following day.
ca_gere
My new year was pretty good. I moved all my stuff from my old flat to my new one on Hogmanay which was a total ball ache but it was nice going out from one place and waking up in another. When I finally finished moving it was pretty close to the bells so had to find a pub quickly. Found a nice quiet place and did picklebacks (whiskey, pickle juice and a beer) untill about 2. Then we went to this rave which consisted of me drinking at the bar whilst my girlfriend danced with muscly gay guys - not a bad deal actually.. The music was shit but by that point I didn't care, I was too busy repressing my gag reflex and closing one eye to stop the double vision.
