Everything on "The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter" and "The 5000 Spirits Or The Layers Of the Onion" is utter genius.If I had to pick one song' date=' I would say "Blues For The Muse". Not groundbreaking or paricularly inventive, i just fucking love that song.Going off on a tangent, slightly, but is it just me, or is Joe Boyd's contribution to finding and developing talent in the 60's criminally overlooked by the mainstream music cognoscenti?[/quote']I hav the first four(Wee Tam/The Big Huge is one album yeh?) and the Chelsea sessions 1967. Joe Boyd was a catalyst for so many great things, UFO club, early Pink Floyd, Fairport, Nick Drake etc etc, damn right he's under appreciated!
