Massive fan of the first four albums. They lost me after that. Everything on "The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter" and "The 5000 Spirits Or The Layers Of the Onion" is utter genius.

If I had to pick one song' date=' I would say "Blues For The Muse". Not groundbreaking or paricularly inventive, i just fucking love that song.

Going off on a tangent, slightly, but is it just me, or is Joe Boyd's contribution to finding and developing talent in the 60's criminally overlooked by the mainstream music cognoscenti?[/quote']

I hav the first four(Wee Tam/The Big Huge is one album yeh?) and the Chelsea sessions 1967.

Joe Boyd was a catalyst for so many great things, UFO club, early Pink Floyd, Fairport, Nick Drake etc etc, damn right he's under appreciated!
