dustymin
Hi,I'm playing at Drummonds with the Oxbow Lake Band on Friday night and was wondering about the condition of the house kit? Has anyone used it lately? Are the cymbal stands ok or should I be taking my own...?Thanks for any information.
Guest E.C
I'd say take your own cymbal stands (especially hi-hat stand) - the kit itself is, well...a house kit. very beaten up and doesnt sound great but its alright for playing on and sounds alright when mic'd up. Hope this helps.
mistersticks
I played Drummonds a couple of months ago and I wished that I had brought my own stands. The one I was using for my crash cymbal seemed to slacken and collapse. Obviously this is due to the amount of use the kit receives, but if you can I'd suggest you bring your own. dustymin
Some information that may be of use....The threads on the tom mounts seem to have finally given up, I had my own snare stand so mounted the tom on that.If anyone wants to use both toms though they will have problems.
