Palace of Swords
I've just finished writing an article on memorable/important gigs that I've been to. One of the gigs I've mentioned is the Jesus and Mary Chain at the Venue 1986 - the one where they only played for 20 minutes or so. Does anyone know the exact date of this gig? I think it was probably April or May 1986. I have tried googling, but I can't find anything. If anyone has a ticket stub they could scan and send that would be even better. (I know this is unlikely - wishful thinking!)Thanks.

Palace of Swords
Found this site saying April, http://aprilskies.amniisia.com/gigs/gigs_by_country.phpThanks MattJimF. It was definitely some time in April 1986. It would be quite good to get the exact date, though. Anyone?

theclarkness
The Mary Chain was sold out and it was a Friday that i can remember as the following night Erasure played to an empty-ish venue, I probably did the poster for both nights, i think it was a VENUE HOUSE poster . Bobby Gillespie's Primal Scream played at the Flesh Exchange (thats upstairs in the Hotel Metro, this was pre Peli -)"Best in Aiberdeen no Scotland" quote the previous club owner. Alan Cynic
.... and Teenage Fanclub too..it was a good one!I was at the Young Gods one too, plus the Shamen, Lush, and a band called the Spitfires, I think.
Monster Zero
Spitfire maybe? I was at that. Still dig out my old singles by them now and then. Their version of the Six Million Dollar Man theme is still great.I was at Lush too actually.

Jim Stax
My memory from the JAMC gig was the mountain of jackets up against the walls. This due to the removal of the chairs and tables to make room.
