sonhenry
Silverface Fender Bassman head, 40 watts, excellent condition, new valves. It's the earliest silverface one with the screen door trim around the grill, and an amazing guitar amp. £400 or reasonable offer or part trade towards an AC30. Pictures if you want them! sonhenry
Oh, and a step down tranny as part of the deal..
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I am tempted by this... Is it really loud and does it have a lot of clean headroom?
sonhenry
It's a full 40 watts, plenty loud, there's pretty typical fender headroom on this. It's a deadly amp, especially into a 4x12....
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Plenty loud is what I was worried about! Can you actually get the volume past "1" in a rehearsal room?
sonhenry
Based on the volumes I hear most bands playing at in rooms like Toms or MV, should e no problem. It's a great sounding amp at real volumes, grinds up around half way up the dial and sounds great with most pedals. It's a vintage Fender, and there's a reason for all the hype. You should check it out! You'll be hooked...
Old Gold
I think you should get it Jan. Bassmans sound awesome.
Monk Rocker
If you sell it without the step-down transformer let me know please. Unlikely, I know, but keep it in mind.....
sonhenry
You don't have to take the step down tranny, just throwing one in for people that don't have one. So totally likely!
Monk Rocker
It's the transformer I'd be interested in though as venues don't seem to like mine:-(
sonhenry
Oh. Maplin?
Flaneur
Can't believe this is still for sale, after a week. It's an Amp for Life- PTP, with all the classic Fender tones....... and you can record all the bass parts of your concept album through it, in between gigs
