framheim
We're really chuffed to be bringing King Creosote back to the barn, and it feels that little bit sweeter now that he's had his Mercury nomination. Info, tickets and a video: king-creosote-kid-canaveral | Woodend Barn BanchoryFriday 04 Nov 2011 8:00pmAfter their successful collaboration at SXSW in Austin earlier this year, King Creosote and Kid Canaveral are touring together this autumn to promote the new 7" single Homerun and a Vow.Having just been nominated for a Mercury Music Prize for Diamond Mine with Jon, KC is now keen to tour with a full band and road test a batch of new songs recorded for 2012's LP That Might Well Be It, Darling as well as revisit some of that extensive back catalogue.Kid Canaveral are a two-boy/two-girl group from Edinburgh. They write indiepop tunes you can move around & flail your limbs to. In true indie spirit, they have self-released four 7? singles and their debut album, on their own label, Straight To Video Records. In February of this year legendary Scottish DIY label Fence Records (King Creosote, James Yorkston, Lone Pigeon) announced the band as their latest signings.King CreosoteKid Canaveral14, 12 conc, 5 under 16 in advance15, 13 conc, 5 under 16 on the doorTickets available from our website: king-creosote-kid-canaveral | Woodend Barn BanchoryThere is a regular stagecoach bus service to and from Banchory which costs around 7 return from Aberdeen. Skacel
Dunno about specific stage times but get down to see the support as KC joins them (or he did at the lemon tree gig).
