Benji
I think Crimewatch will be involved before this business closes down.
ca_gere
If the police called this mob up and got them to deliver, then nabbed them when they tried to ask for money, would that be entrapment?
Lethal10
There used to be dial a drink about 15 years ago in my home town. The first time it was busted as they were delivering more than drink and caught laundering money too.My mates then done it for a while too later on. It was all perfectly legal and above board and they even got assistance for being a small business. Some grants, loans, advice and help securing a unit to let.He was only able to get an off licence that would only cover orders up to 10PM. There was a loophole if it was ordered and paid for before 10PM you could deliver later, but certainly not allowed 2am calls once the party has run dry.Sadly the business never took off. With the price the drink is in the supermarket his prices on most drinks, especially beer, made him far too expensive. After a few months it was realised that only Buckfast and Vodka were selling. It really was not worth his time and ended up costing him a fortune. Lethal10
It was difficult to get a licence. He had to have company premises and not sell from home. There is not a chance that this seller has some special licence. You can't get alcohol delivered with food after 10PM either. MattJimF
They have something like this in Newcastle, have a flyer for it somewhere.Didn't think that the Scottish licencing laws would allow it.
