Guest E.C
Here's an interesting one. Pick the best example you can think of for a song which makes you feel each of the following:Happy: (Songs where you just think WAYHEYYYYYY! LIFE, EH?)Sad (Bonus points if you've cried while listening to it):Angry (to listen to whilst angry, not a song that makes you angry, or maybe that as well):Sleepy (or rather...to help you sleep):Not looking for definitive answers here, as there arent any. Music can make you sad/happy based on lyrical content, musical arrangement or just a memory/situation it reminds you of. Obviously, with the subjective nature of music, some 'happy' songs may appear 'sad' to others. I will start off this potential "only emo kids cry over songs" abuse tirade with:Happy: You! Me! Dancing by Los CampesinosSad: Valentine by Christie Front DriveAngry: I Wish You the Best by Ed GeinSleepy: Post-War by M. Ward(bonus cool points for name dropping bands nobody has heard of/gives a fuck about!!!)
KarmaTsunami
There's an appropriate Sleater-Kinney song for all of these.Happy: Oh! or Words and Guitar or I Wanna Be Your Joey RamoneSad: Jenny or The Size of Our LoveAngry: EntertainOkay so there isn't a sleepy one. For that I'll go withMogwai: Take Me Somewhere Nice
Guest
Happy Jamaica Jerk-Off by Elton JohnSad Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl by Broken Social SceneAngry Anchor by Misery SignalsSleepy Generally I don't like to fall asleep to music: if I like a song it won't make me sleepy. I'll go with Clair De Lune by Debussy if pushed, though.
