This thread is for hidden gems in aberdeen. For example fantastic restraunts or good places to park in the city center that are free etc. Just great things that are hidden.

Prices may have gone up slightly but a premiere ticket at Vue cinema was a nice hidden gem. You got a better seat with no idiots making noise near you. Toilets easyand quick to get too. However you also got a free drink and if you knew to ask for a DOUBLE bottle of cobra that was two drinks. The ticket was 3.50 more than a normal ticket. nae bad. Also worth a mention is the Gurkha Indian on George St.

Ghurka Chef near the back of union square, Nepalese food, always pretty damn quite but so so good! Awesome takeaways too with a great meal deal that lasts couple of days. Y'all should try it! Good for vegetarian food if that is yr thing.

Lahore Karahi on King Street. Awesome Pakistani food, pretty cheap. Again awesome for takeaway too. Think they recently done it up, but haven't been of recent. Again good for vegetarian.

Bhan Thai, Rose Street, not much of a secret but seriously good Thai food. Great for takeaways too, always real quick. Frequented by Thai locals, says it all.

Yorokobi By CJ, best Japanese food you'll get in Abdn. Service is ropey and not very good, but if you get past that, so many awesome things to have. Some Korean dishes too which are superb. Avoid Yo! Sushi at all costs and head here, the difference is remarkable.

Especially since Yatai closed, however i think they are going to be opening up a smaller Yatai again of sorts.

Moonfish Cafe, best bistro. I think they have the bistro formula much better figured out than the likes of La Stella. Nice informal service, great drinks selection, real relaxed. Bit on the pricey side for what yr getting, but if refined well presented food is yr thing then it is great.

Don't expect to be filled up, expect to taste awesome expertly cooked food.

Earl Of Sandwich, good reasonably priced sandwiches. Fine extensive selection. Y'all probably know it.

Anyone know anywhere for really good Chinese?

Yet to find somewhere that is above average, serving authentic Chinese. Ideally somewhere with loads of fish/seafood and Dim Sum.
