Soda Jerk
Does anyone know one of those "no job too small" handymen who is local, and not a cowboy? I've got a leak in my flat. The letting agents contractors finish today for Christmas and apparently can't fit me in to even get it looked at, but if I can get it done myself, I can just deduct it from rent. There's a crack in the brickwork on the external wall a bit above the window which is filling with water and then penetrating my ceiling. I need a man with a ladder and whatever it is that you fill in cracked brickwork with.Anyone know anyone? It's probably a 10 minute job at most. Lemonade
I'm selling something on EBay, and I wanted to put a reserve on it. When I add the listing it won't let me put a lower reserve on it than 70Euro. It said I could lower it later, but now it's listed it won't let me lower it either. Ebay help is pretty useless. Anyone know what's going on?

Stroopy121
I would but the pedal doesn't work and it'll fuck my other gear. My theory is that a valve has been fucked in transit and the plate is shorting to the signal lines.xx
keeno
One for HateEvent here, as R&B is an Ibanez dealer, can you order replacement parts through them? I'm thinking about getting a replacement gibraltar plus bridge.

Stroopy121
My condolences. How did you manage to type that, you're supposed to be dead! Is electrocution necessarily fatal? Getting electric shocks from, then. Plate voltage is shorting to the signal lines, somehow. Arranged to send it back to seller, all is well.xx
Soda Jerk
According to that thing, the internet, electrocution is death by electric shock, derived from the words execution and electro. I didn't think anything of it when you said electrocuted, but now it seems obvious.

ca_gere
I'm now mentally sifting through my entire life to recall all the instances I used the word 'electrocution' incorrectly - I think it's quite a lot and I am now retroactively embarrassed. Thanks. I'm sure I've told people plenty of times I've been electrocuted and didn't think twice about it.
Teabags
Yep. Same here. I always thought it just meant you'd received an electric shock.

Lemonade
I got a good few electric shocks when I was working as a trainee electrician. I wasn't a very good trainee electrician. Starting rewiring a house once having forgotten to switch off the mains. Youch.
