Guitar: I've played for about 14 years, I own a Gibson Les Paul standard.

Flute: I've played flute since 1997. I currently own a second hand Selmer Bundy II

Saxophone: I started that in 1997 as well, I began on tenor sax but I found that to be too cumbersome so switched to alto recently, I own a Vito which is leaking and out of tune.

Sitar: I've played sitar since May 1996, twas a 21st birthday present.:)

I play piano, started playing the exact day of my 14 b-day, so 3 years ago in february, i progressed really fast as I chose to do it, i wasnt forced into it by pushy parents etc, i love music and put in the work, last grade i took was grade 6, i'm now playing at 7/8 and working on the theory.

I play a 'zender' little piano, big sound

I love it

Well, I have played guitar for the last 13 years. I am a stubborn bastard so I spend most of music time making my own music.

Guitars- BC Rich Mocking bird with maple neck

Dean Baby V

Shitty Epiphone Strat copy

Wesley green piss in an ice cube guitar

Padals- Morley wah (if the fucker I leant it to, would return it!

Guyatone Flanger as above

Boss HM2 as above

Zoom 3030 multi effects pedal

amp- I had a 4 speaker marshall stack but I sold it (whoops) a few years ago! I didnt realise I was going to join a band that I love!

Most difficult song I can play? Well I dont really learn other bands suff but I suppose it is Ashes in your Mouth by Megadeth although that was a while ago. As I said, Im stubborn! fuck other bands! Im busy enough writing riffs to annoy my fellow band mates with! :band:

I've got a bit of a thing for collecting instruments, so I won't list them all (70+ at the last count, but I do have duplicates) - just the main ones.

Mandolin - I would count this as my main instrument - I've been playing for 17 years (self-taught) and currently play a crafter semi-acoustic. I also own an Eko banjo-mandolin, a washburn acoustic, a bastardised half-size guitar currently with 4 strings tuned one step above mandola tuning and am waiting on a floating bridge to complete by guitar to bouzouki conversion.

Guitar - been playing (about) for about 17 years as well - mainly chords, but would love to get round to some lead lessons. Have an Antoria archtop, washburn acoutsic, Peavey Horizon II electric, an Alvarez classical guitar I got in a charity shop and a travel guitar I won on the internet.

Recorder - been playing since primary school (so that's about 25 years now, gulp) - have soparino, descant, alto and tenor recorders.

violin - own two - again, one came from a charity shop (and sounds a whole lot better than the ancient one I spent 9 years getting lessons at school on) - don't rate my fiddle playing very highly.

Other highlights of my collection include: 5 string banjo, ukelele, bodhran, autoharp, and I've recently acquired an upright piano (free from the p&j classified ads).

Best thing I can play would probably be " The Jack Daniels Reel" on the mandolin.

Regards

Flossie

  • 2 weeks later...

hmm. played double bass from when i was 9 (31 now) and played it till 17. lots of orchestral pieces played - some of which are pretty damn good. took up bass guitar when 13 and still play to this day.

i own a BC Rich warlock bass (fookin ace thing) and just got a Rickenbacker 4003 fireglow thingy too (also fookin ace). never bothered with amps (only have a shite peavey - always borrow whatevers going about). I use a Boss ME-6B multi-effects unit thing which makes some ace noises. getting some new effects next week too (be in to see you shawn). so they should be fun.

party piece?......prob Cliff (GOD) Burtons Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) - although tend to lose it when the drums start :)

Been playing 6 years, this is my second kit, first was just a crappy starter. Its a yamaha rock tour custom (as used by the old guns and roses drummer) in black sparkle. I use sabian pro sonix and aax metal cymbals, mapex twin bass. I also have a Terry Bozio signature sabian china, ooo errr. Ahead "spud" from mudvayne sticks.
