TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I think that is Sherwood Green.
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
As I love the fuzz pedals and that, I end up watching many videos of countless variations of the fuzz tones. The most recent pedal that floats my boat is this one - https://robertkeeley.com/shop/sfocato-fuzz-wah [ I doubt that it will have a practical function for live playing, or do anything that my fuzz factory can't do (combined with wah), but it sounds GOOD. colb
I don't really get wah pedals, never had one - never felt the need to have one. Same with Chorus pedals.
brettthain1
I've got a vintage cry baby and I use it to add a bit of flavour to a solo. Before I bought a boost pedal, I sort of used it as a slight enhancer all the way down.I hear you on chorus pedals, although, I like chorus modulation in delays! Old Gold
Oooft! She's affa bonnie! What's the name of that colour?! xxAye, metallic sherwood green. It's at a pretty premium price for a Squier, so might be worth a crack.
Old Gold
As an aside, Merchant City Music seem to have well upped their game since I was last in past. They're getting wads of Reverends in too.
Stroopy121
When I was last in they had a stunning selection. GBOL. xx
Bigsby
I love matching headstocks, but they look shit with a maple neck.
Old Gold
I love matching headstocks, but they look shit with a maple neck. I think it's largely dependent on colour. I think the green/tinted maple combo is pretty swell. They've got something with a rosewood neck that I'm also well into:
Ross G
I really want one of those 62 Jap teles (in black). Or alternatively, a Nash T57 (below)
neepheid
Next year some time I think I'm going to move from a single 4x10 cab to a modular 2x1x12 setup. So many options though, dunno which way to go yet.
Soda Jerk
I right fancy one of the 2014 Gibson Melody Makers LP shape with a slimline SG-style cut? I dig. P90s with slugs instead of screws always look slick.

Soda Jerk
I have no problem with it. I'd be too busy hammering pinches to even notice it.
Bigsby
12th fret is indeed shit, but not the end of the world. With budget Gibsons I would definitely try before buying, fret work in particular can be horrible.
colb
Roland TB-3 bassline synth. Dunno what's up but guitar gear isn't doing it for me just now. Flashy light synth stuff however....

colb
M-Audio kit is decent for home use, Novation Launchkey might be a good alternative for a few quid less?
Alkaline
M-Audio kit is decent for home use, Novation Launchkey might be a good alternative for a few quid less? The launchkey doesn't have a midi-in/out so i'd ruled it out. Also, it looks like its the same sort of price. I liked the fact the Axiom has semi-weighted full size keys as well which would make it a bit more playable live if i needed it.

colb
That is a mental price, apparently it is a rebranding of the "Belcat" amplifier brand. With my Sound City not being gig worthy anymore and my Superchamp not coping with un mic'ed venues, I would actually be tempted by this. Hard to find any decent reviews or sound clips of it however. Can't you get the sound city refurbed/rehoused?
Bigsby
Can't you get the sound city refurbed/rehoused?Indeed, vintage amp, point to point wiring, no fucking about with printed circuit boards, Dennis Marshall will sort it out no bother. Alkaline
Yeah, if it was going to cost a hundred or so I'd stabilise the Sound City myself. The clean tone on that bad boy is sweeeeeeeeeet.

TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I love the Sound City and I've had it serviced. However, the gentleman who carried out the service told me that to get it running "as new" would cost more than going on eBay and buying the amp again. I have gigged it a fair few times since I've had it, between Das and Seas, I think I played around 40 gigs last year and it took it's toll on the 1970's amplifier. I am still keeping it, but it will be for recording, it takes so long to warm up nowadays, it's barely usable for band practice.
