Ross.
This just got announced today. Pretty stripped back in terms of features but I'm into the simplicity of it.

colb
II would like one of these:Check out some of the videos here, they are decent:http://www.strymon.net/timeline/I love this! Nearly bought one last year but settled for the flashback x4 instead - didn't have room for it on the pedalboards...
Flights
The flashback x4 is the same size as a loaf!
colb
It's wider but I don't think it's as deep as the timeline. Timeline needs an external tap tempo as well.Running a timeline and a space at the same time would be a bit too awesome....
Surfer_Rosa
Fender are adding some new models to the pawn shop series, as with the earlier ones I can't quite decide if I like them or hate them. However this one is definitely not helping my completely unnecessary hankering for a baritone:
Old Gold
I think the Pawn Shop Bass VI looks pretty cool in red. The rest of the new ones -especially the Strat/Tele Deluxe mashup - looks like a pile of shite though.

colb
I'm glad they're bringing back the super-sonic. The squier ones were fun to play. Not sure I'd pay £500+ for one.

colb
PWeird that the specs say that P90 in the bridge is a humbucker though....? :SxxJazzmaster pickups aren't P90's. However, those are ones Fender call JZHB's, buckers made to look like jazzy pickups. They'll be bad, Fender suck at making 'buckers!

They'll be bad, Fender suck at making 'buckers!Ahhhh I didn't know that. I thought it was just a big-ass P90 in a JM, wider and skinnier coiled but still a single coil.Every day is a school day!xx
colb
The classic Jazzy pickup is a single coil but its got 6 different magnets, one for each string, like a strat. A p90 has one bar magnet with adjustable screws for pole pieces. The JZHB is a horrific thing. I think it's only been used on the pawn shop guitars. colb
I have no idea why they fuck about with those JZHB'sCheap 'buckers sound quieter/better than cheap single coils. And you don't have to shield the cavities and scratchplate.Cost cutting innit....
Old Gold
I reckon it's a ploy to force customers to order a custom shop if they want to get their hands on something they actually really want.

I doubt the Supersonic will be any better than the Squier vista's.

Stroopy121
Yeah getting a bass VI and putting a REAL JM pup in there is a real temptation, depending on how much they cost!xx
