Alkaline
I mean, I did see that sm57 on here for sale for cheap. But googled and found that the sm58 was a better all rounder. If there's something better that's same price or cheaper, please, do tell.I think the sm57 is a better all rounder.

Alkaline
really? hmm...Well you can use an SM57 more comfortably with Voice/Instruments/Drums whereas the size of the grill of the SM58 means that it isn't as suitable for drums. The SM58 has a better grill for eliminating pop from vocals but an SM57 (with an additional pop filter) would be a better studio/home recording all rounder as it can be used with pretty much everything more comfortably.Sound-wise (frequency response/range etc) they are pretty much the same.

Jaaakkkeee
out of the two, which would be best for just plugging in to a mic lead at tunnels and bawling in shouting for half an hour?
Alkaline
out of the two, which would be best for just plugging in to a mic lead at tunnels and bawling in shouting for half an hour?SM58 is better for live vocals as it is omni-directional (pulls sound from the sides) and as a result decreases the likelihood of feedback.

keeno
I am getting one of these over the weekend. Toying between this and the MXR Smartgate but simplicity wins the day.
Soda Jerk
It looks badass too, which is important. At least 50% of the importance of pedal buying.

Soda Jerk
I like the look of that white Strat, except for the Floyd, purely because they make no sense to me. White strats with black hardware look badass though. I'd probably still put a P90 in it though. Or coil tap the bucker. I like twang. keeno
The daft thing about the Adrian Jackson sig models is that if you want to adjust the truss rod you have to take the neck off. A bit too 'vintage' in that respect for my liking. Not sure about top mounted floyd's either, never played one but they look strange.I know what you mean about pedals though. Who cares if it is good? IT'S SHINY.

fatboy
I quite like the idea of non routed floyd. the bridge wont be hard against the body, It allows for upward movement bit not to the extent of a recessed one. I'm not to worried about the extras you get with having a recessed one.It has noiseless single coils and a "jackson" branded humbucker which will need changed.I want a humbucker but dont want to break the bank with a warpig or something.thinking about a seymour duncan JB, or something hotter in their range
Old Gold
I would totally have that Jackson. And start writing songs with heaps of dive bombs in them too, I'd wager.
Adam Easy Wishes
But why bother for using at tunnels when they have their ownTo be fair you sometimes get a Beta 58 in The Tunnels, which is a bit brighter and may not suit a particular style of vocal as well as a SM58. Jake - try both.
