Kapopanator Posted January 5, 2011 Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 Hi.Im an 18 year old semi-self taught bassist, looking to join/form a band, ideally with a more metal sound but Im not totally closed to lighter stuff. I have had no previous gig experience, cannot read music and am not formerly graded but I feel I am a fairly strong player and am keen to get some live experience.Im interested in both writing and covering songs. The type of stuff I listen to ranges across all forms of metal and some other genres. Classics like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Dream Theater, Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio. Not to mention others, Nightwish, Krypteria, Xandria, Hammerfall, Highland Glory, Turisas, Linkin Park, Sick Puppies, Paramore, Rise Against, Sum 41, Breaking Benjamin, S.O.A.D, Soil, Trivium, Alestorm, Maximum the Hormone, Danko Jones, Kiuas. To name a few off the top of my head.All that sort of stuff influences me, favourite bassist is John Myung (Dream Theater).
