Johnny Mac
I thought it was another band that had a rammy with Story of the year?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After having started on story of the year, disturbed have decided to have a go at finch:From the official Finch site: ""To anyone who either witnessed or heard about today's incident at the Rolling Rock Town Fair. While we were setting up, one of the members of Disturbed, Dan Donegan, was harassing us from the side of the stage. Before we were to play, Randy (our guitarist) walked over to Dan to explain that the comments he made a few years ago were a joke, and to give him a friendly handshake. Dan proceeded to assault Randy and Disturbed's singer, David Draiman, attacked Mike Herrara (our drum tech) which caused a fight to ensue. We want everyone to know that Finch did not start this fight. However, we do not take kindly to being assaulted or having our lives threatened. We would like this little conflict to be resolved as soon as possible, but we will not give in to bullying bands threatening us or our fans."" Although it sounds like the workings of a finch dissing disturbed remark from a while back..

psydoll
Puir Finch - look at the buff physiques of Disturbed and you know who'd win that fight! You can see the computer game spinoff where Draiman attacks with 'rhinospikechinasan'

psydoll
The feud stems from comments stem froma an interview Finch guitarist Randy Strohmeyer did with a US magazine in 2002 saying: "I'd shoot David Draiman in the fucking head. I'd rip his stupid little piercings out. They're just cheesy. It bums me out because their music is terrible' date=' and what they're about, it's just shit. Hopefully all that music will die out soon, and hopefully it will make room for the good music."Disturbed humourless guitarist Dan Donegan issued the following statement regarding the incident:"There is some truth and a lot of false things being said. I will clarify a few things. First of all, this all started with death threats from Randy and Finch to Disturbed and David that we take very seriously. There was no attempt from anyone from Finch to apologise or clear things up. We had never met them or done any shows with them before so we didn't understand what their problem was. If someone says they don't like our band, I really don't give a fuck. But as soon as comments were made threatening to put a bullet in one of our heads, I don't see the humour in that and I take it very serious. Randy did not say sorry or hold out his hand for me to shake, nor was I interested in doing so. They huddled up laughing, thinking it was funny when they noticed that we were there. I confronted Randy to ask about his comments and then did what any man should do, defended my family and band from anyone who thinks it is okay to threaten someone's life."When all hell broke loose, it was Finch members and their crew members against only me, David, and my manager. We did what was necessary. This was not premeditated obviously, because David was walking his dog when he came up and Mike and John were not anywhere near. My fiance was holding my eight-month old daughter when a father of a Finch member pushed her and my daughter so he could get involved. I guess it runs in the family and shows what kind of men they are. His son shouldn't run his mouth and make threats if he can't be man enough to stand up and fight the battle he started. After the chaos, they asked for security to walk them to their bus where they hid until the state troopers came to escort them off of the property. Fucking cowards. Most of these comments and rumours are so far off. This is not the new East Coast vs. West Coast or emo vs. metal. It is a simple life lesson, there is consequences for your actions. We just finished the battle they started."[/quote']It continues! Someone's lying somewhere...

psydoll
As far as I can tell it's not the same person - reports vary on Mike Herrara/Harrera but it seems like it's a different guy.
