BEST INDIE ACT 2011 - The Fudge Awards

The Ghost Of Fudge

Recommended Posts

Your friendly local promoters 'Fudge' are posting a series of online polls, and distributing paper voting slips amoungst the good folk of the Moorings Bar on gig nights in an easily-rigged but entirely-honest effort to discover which Aberdeen bands have really stoked your musical fires over the past year.

When the many, many hundreds of votes have been totalled, we'll be revealing your heroic victors at our glamourous Fudge Music Awards ceremony - this year in the luxurious confines of the Moorings Bar on Saturday 12th February 2011. Three bands will play, and we'll dish out trophies to the award winning acts as they make their acceptance speeches infront of their plastered peers. We'd even encourage you to try and raise the tone by wearing suits, ties and ballgowns, etc, for the night. We can but try...

ANYWAY! Most of you must know how this works by now, so vote away...

Ask Chris, he's got a nomination for some band that he won't need, because this year it's mal-freekin-paso all the way.....

Agreed. Who the hell are Deportees anyway? They wouldn't know indie if it bit them in the arse. Whereas for The Malpaso Gang, indie isn't just a lazy generic catch-all genre label - it's a way of life.

I don't care about the Deportees, (aren't they french?), it's those wasted votes for a cup of tea that worry me. Don't these people get out, or are they spending their free time with Aunt Mildred talking about what dangerous place the world has become? "Remember, pinkies out, girls. Proper deportment and all"....

Fuck me, I weep for the future.
