To me it sounds like some random found a box of Magazine trademark sounds and assembled them into an album. Thin on tunes and trite of lyric, no menace, no heart. When I have listened to it I've thought it sounds good but I still end up turning off before it finishes and then rarely feel like putting it on. One of my favourite and most listened to albums of that year. A friend of mine who had very similar feelings on it at the time loves the new record and seems to like her more than ever so I feel I should still give it more chances.
