One for the Buffy fans...

I started a rewatch a few weeks ago, currently midway through season 3. There are some good "Monster Of The Week" episodes in the first two series but it's really towards the end of series 2 when a proper story arc starts to develop that it really comes into it's own. The first two series are kinda patchy. I've found I'm enjoying the arc episodes much much more than the standalones. I can kinda take or leave the Monster Of The Week ones. I also never realised before how fucking amazing Drusilla is. The actress who plays her is terrific, OTT bat-shit crazy.

I think I had more appreciation for Dru in Angel as it covered her backstory with Angel and Darla more.

I started re-watching with my wife, as she had only seen a few, but really got into Angel, but we watched the first few episodes and stopped. May give her them to watch during the week when I'm not there.

Angel was great. In fact, Angel at it's finest was arguably better than Buffy at it's finest. Buffy took a few seasons to find it's feet, Angel started out red-hot. I'm looking forward to rewatching Angel because I haven't seen most of that since it was on TV and I've forgotten a lot if it, whereas I know Buffy back to front.

I started the Buffy rewatch with my girlfriend, she's never seen any of them before so it's all new to her. She's the 5th girlfriend I've started a Buffy re-watch with. I watch Buffy a lot. I'm sure this is not linked with the previous 4 relationships failing.
