Stroopy121
Ah brilliant. Was a brilliant set from him too.I was the guy in shorts accompanied by the woman with short, dark hair who is waaay out of my league. We actually only caught the first few Malpaso songs before headed off. Keen to come back for more though =].xx

Bigsby
### FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ###The Malpaso Gang claims the title of the 'surprise hit of the Bellrock Blues Festival'It looked as though it might be a dire gig for the Gang, as the set up their gear in an empty bar in Arbroath. Dead empty. As the time past and downbeat loomed a few stray lovers of country music willing to gamble on an unknown-in-these-parts band drifted in. Tumbleweeds, blowing into the bar. But then it happened, the band ran through a blistering soundcheck and out came the mobile phones. It was clear that this was going to be a gig to be reckoned with. And the calls went out.Within the opening minutes of the first set the club was packed, shoulder to shoulder with only a little room to dance. One jaw-dropping tale of lost love and heartache after another, all set to a driving country beat. Miss Nina worked the room, the boys held their own and together the Gang recreated the heaving, sweaty feel of a West Texas Roadhouse. And more calls went out.By the end of the set there was a line out the door, the music spilling over the threshold like a settlers land rush. Smokers dancing on the streets. And when the last mournful note of the steel guitar had faded, and the reluctant punters started to drift away it was clear to all- they had been part of something special, a true to life recreation of that old school of country music, played straight and delivered with breathtaking honesty and fire; the surprise hit of the festival. The band has limited availability through the end of the year. Book now, or forever hold your peace.### END ###
