Colin Mac & the Fugitives at Cellar 35

Just come from a gig at Cellar 35 in Rosemount Viaduct.

The entertainment started with a solo acoustic set from Colin McDonald. Three excellent self-penned compositions got the set off to a good start and after a short break he was joined by the Fugitives for a rock'n'roll set.

Two young ladies on drums and sax livened up the guitar sound created by Oscar and Lucky Rathen.

A medley of 50's rock'n'roll numbers went down well with Be Bop A Lula getting a good recption from a crowd who were definitely too young to be around the first time this Gene Vincent number was a million seller.

This band ought to be playing bigger places.

PS Aberdeen Music Moderator Lucky Rathen appeared playing bass in his mustachioed Paul McCartney (circa Sergeant Pepper) persona.
