Bigsby
Pretty sure they're remaking Alfie again already... with Russel Brand. Or maybe I imagined that for some completely bizarre reason...They remade Alfie with Jude Law a few years ago, they're remaking Arthur with Russell Brand. delboy
on the whole remakes are a pretty pointless exercise but I enjoyed King Kong I have to admit. And there's a new version of Hitchcock's 'The Birds' coming out which could be good if done right. But most are truly terrible and are just an exercise in trying to make money. Bigsby
I thought King Kong was gash. The CGI dinosaurs were laughable.
diarmaid
The remake of Total Recall is all kinds of wrong, as is the proposed Long Good Friday remake set in Miami. In fact most of the ones on that list are fucking worthless as well.A remake of either of those movies would be ridiculous. The Long Good Fiday especially, so undeniably british, I can't see it as an American tale.

Norseman
Seemingly the new "The Thing" film isn't a remake but a prequel about the Norwegian camp. (according to this months SFX magazine)
