Steven Milne
TUESDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2010@ THE LEMON TREETHOMAS TRUAX6.00 + BF7.30PMTICKETLINK: THE LEMON TREE LOUNGE : Productions : Thomas TruaxStraight outta Wowtown via New York city, one-man steampunk band Thomas Truax is famed for his array of bizarre homemade instruments (including the now-legendary 'Hornicator'), captivating live performances, and ground-breaking recordings. He crafts some very potent songs...poetically evocative and rich with melancholy. His current tour mixes originals from his new album Sonic Dreamer with selections from last year's acclaimed Songs From The Films Of David Lynch. "Truax is shaping up nicely as one of the great rock eccentrics" The Guardian "Like a trip to the frayed edges of sanity...unapologetically original." Dazed and Confused "Genius." Alan Cynic
Thanks Kirsten! My last one in the Lemon Tree was a disaster (I gave up for a year because of it), so I was glad to make it through without too many mistakes. It was a good night....Craig's set was tremendous too....I'll probably be along to his one on Friday too. Mothership
And what a cracker of a set he did too!!! The 'grinder' sparking away was great. It was good. I think he was spurred on by the quality of Davidson Brothers support! Would have come over & said hello at the end, but had to rush off for an early battle through the snow this morning. I hope Thomas was careful not to lie too still later on....o_O
Alan Cynic
He was safe enough ...maybe if the car had crashed on the way back to Holburn St!!! The worst that happened to him was the Iceland pizza I fed him.
