Monster Zero
Good call on Trapdoor, it was great. 'BUUUURRRRK!'I have been buying old cartoons that I used to like as a kid for my son, Wacky Races is still ace, Henry's Cat not so much. Latest purchase off Play.com is Vol.1 of Hong Kong Phooey. Monster Zero
Oh and I used to love that old 60's cartoon of Spiderman that they showed well into the 70's on a Saturday morning. I actually found the whole series on DVD on the net and bought it. Turned out to be pretty shit in retrospect and I only watched a few episodes then punted it again... Oedo 808
I watched it every Saturday without fail despite my hatred for it.Poor Cyril Sneer; just a simple pink aardvark trying to make a business for himself and has to suffer those cunting raccoons fucking up his entrepreneurial spirit again and again.YouTube - The Raccoons intro

ca_gere
I know they're not cartoons but Teen Angel, California Dreams, Hanging with Mr Cooper and early Smart Guy deserve honourable mentions.
Paranoid Android
I remember watching a lot too. I never realised it was so old!
Soda Jerk
I stumbled across a petition to bring back the "Old" Cartoon Network, which I thought would be stuff like the Centurions, Elastic Man, the Jetsons and all that Hannah Barbera stuff, but really it was all that Dexters Lab and Edd, Ed and Eddy guff. Rubbish. That's not even old.
Monster Zero
Spiderman and his amazing friends was great though. Basically spiderman hanging out with iceman and firestar solving crimes, together, as friends.Peter Parker never seemed to have many friends. Apart from some unfeasibly hot birds. It's nice that he managed to find some in a costume superhero capacity.
Monster Zero
Pretty much any of the old Hanna Barbera cartoons were worthy of attention.Has anyone mentioned the Hair Bear Bunch? They were pretty cool.

Alan Cynic
I was discussing the merits of Ren & Stimpy today with Old Gold. My son used to get the comic, but I ordered double, so I've still got a pristine collection. n.b. our discussion was terminated when Old Gold got stung on the arse/lower back by a wasp On the plus side he had his wound tended to by a fetching member of the Kilau staff. Paranoid Android
Around the World with Willy FoggMr BennTwo favourites I'd forgotten about. I absolutely loved Mr. Benn and talking about great theme tunes it had an absolute classic! I always wanted to see the last episode of Willy Fogg but I don't think I ever did. Alan Cynic
My absolute favourites were always the old Max Fleischer (sp?) cartoons from the 30s & 40s which were occasionally dug up. They were often quite dark, which I found appealing.I was also a fan of Ivor the engine, Noggin the Nog etc
