I have to say that there'll be more local stuff slipped in next time as we left Karloff, Korpse, Deadloss Superstar and a few others at home and haven't got round to getting the MMw release yet but they'll be in there hopefully. Also pleasantly surprised that I've had requests for Dream Theater both slots [they'll definitely be in there next time somewhere], that I got away without playing Slayer this time [bit of an experiment that], that so many people are into Blink 182 in the Moorings and that I yet again forgot CDs that I thought I had with me. The Jam, The Cult [requested by my angry, drunken neighbour no less!], Dream Theater & The Smiths stand out as ones I forgot. Apologies! :)

Thank you very much kind sir - looking at your 'listening to' is like a list of stuff I left at home sadly. I really like the newest Brand New album but forgot it tonight :)

Hope to see you in a fortnight with some added dancing perhaps? :D

I brought quite a few Tom Waits albums but I became indecisive over what to play and then forgot all about him, forgot Dylan, SDRE, Saves The Day, Death Cab For Cutie, The Animals and The Beatles didn't play the Clash, Get Up Kids or The Kinks either. It's weird as when you've played about 3 songs you start thinking 'cripes have I got enough stuff to last 5 hours?' but then it just flies by and all of a sudden it was half past twelve!

Looking at this list though and last time's brief stint I still haven't played so many bands that I really like Placebo, Lostprophets or Crackout for example. I'm gonna enjoy it while I'm getting to do it and be super prepared for next time :)

Now on the jukebox - Laura's choice. I like the Nemo song.

Number one all over Europe I believe that song. Nightwish tipped as the next big Finnish band thanks to record company interest in raping whatever's successful and bringing out shedloads of similar bands. Don't really see the comparison with HIM for Nightwish mind...

Most enjoyed Friday night and most pleased that you approved of the playlist - looking forward to the next time and hopefully will see a bit of Chris' set on Friday. The Wrecking Ball is immensely more pleasing when the bar's fuller

I've only done the Wrecking Ball 1 1/2 times to I'd never really thought of it I must admit.

Wonder if anyone'd comment on it? :D

I have both versions. I prefer Emmy Lou's. At various times I've played:

Easy From Now On - Emmy Lou

$1000 Wedding - GP & Emmy Lou

Take the Long Way Home - Supertramp

Midnight Cruiser - Steely Dan

Hard Headed Woman - Cat Stevens

Two More Bottles of Wine - Emmy Lou

In My Hour of Darkness - Gram Parsons

To round off the night... and if I'm in a good mood, all of the above!

I think we also have a good Emmylou live version.

Whatever, please promise me that you WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER play "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton at the end of the night :moody::puke:

Thing is, they *are* the biggest Finnish band, it's just that we don't pay much attention to the non-English speaking world. They're big in Quebec, they're big in South America, obviously they're big in Europe..do they even need to bother with the English speaking world?

speaking of Nemo, even the video is ace :D Tarja is very..shall we say rarrrrr? :D

Nightwish and Dragonforce on the jukebox? Mother of mercy, I think a visit to the open mike night is in order!

I could provide the bootleg of the recent Nightwish UK gig in Bradford, attended by yours truly :D.......
