Bigsby Posted July 5, 2010 Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 After numerous aborted attempts I'm going to try once again to get a Country/Americana style band on the go.I'm being deliberatly vague on the style as I don't want to get bogged down with genres, I love all kinds of stuff, from what you might call "traditional" country, to alt.country, Western Swing, Rockabilly etc.My influences include the likes Steve Earle, Mark Knopfler, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, The Byrds, Burritos/Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Hank Williams, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bob Wills, Lyle Lovett, Rodney Crowell etcI sing and play rhythm and lead guitar and can sing a bit. I've also got bass covered.So at a minimum I'm looking for someone to play drums and guitar, just rhythm's OK if need be or we can share lead duties if you can play a bit.We'll need some harmonies so if you can't play an instrument but fancy singing then we could possibly have you doing lead vocals and I can sing up high and pretty on top of you (so to speak).PM me if interested.
