Hello, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed drummer to join our band Cast Of The Capital!

We play indie rock music, similar I suppose to the likes of Band Of Horses, The Shins, Death Cab For Cutie.

Since we aim to be rehearsing, touring and recording a lot, we are looking for some one who can fully commit to the band.

The person should have experience playing live and recording, and be playing to a high standard. If they drive as well, that would be fantastic!

Here is a little bio and a link to some tunes!

2009 was a great year for us with appearances at Rockness, Belladrum, GoNorth and Wizard Festival. At the end of the year, Vic Galloway announced us as one of his 'Top 50 Scottish Acts' to look out for in '10. To accompany this we toured constantly throughout the summer and have supported bands such as The Xcerts, Stapleton, Fenech Soler, This City, Jocasta Sleeps and Sergeant. We released our debut CD EP 'Rotten Kids and Haversacks' via London's Kittiwake Records in September and performed tracks on London's Balcony TV. Vic Galloway, Jim Gellatly (New Music), Steve Lamacq and Pete Mitchell (XFM) have all very kindly taken an interest in our band, and have played tracks on their radio shows/podcasts.

2010 has been pretty non-stop for us already; from performing live on Vic Galloway's BBC Radio show in March, to touring the country with Make Sparks. We also just finished recording new tracks in Glasgow with Stuart Macleod, who has produced artists such as Amy Macdonald and The Dykeenies. It would be great to continue to establish ourselves in and around the central belt.

Cheers,

Steve.
