Hi,

Well theres 2 of us im a singer / guitar player and a mate of mine is a bass man, and were looking for a drummer to finish the line up of a new project. ( and possibly the right guitarist ;)

Heres some bits we either "have been" or "are" involved with, but were looking to do something a bit different than all that, maybe in the vein of : Sonic youth, Dinosaur jr, Pavement, Pixies, Kinks, Cure... maybe?...oh if youre a geetar man then feel free to drop us a line.....ideally we're looking for a single coil guitar wielder - Jaguar? Jazzmaster, Tele..ah you get the idea!! were not that fussy just not SLASH or Dimebag..not that theres owt wrong with them lads...just to avoid a torrent ...eek

Once a week? odd gig here and there? doesnt sound that unreasonable does it?

Mark / Steve

there is more to drumming than just hitting stuff harder than anyone else, don't you know...

just because they're drums, and you play them by hitting them misses the point that they are tuned instruments and as such requires not only power but finesse, a trait missed by most tub thumpers, and so called musicians of a certain low brain persuasion...

and I suppose you need really heavy sticks buried into the head with no rebound to really get the most noise out of the drum?

so what about guitars, if played with a plectrum it can be seen as a percussive instrument, does that mean that the harder you hit the strings the better the sound?

or keyboards, again it's patterns of notes played by hitting keys, so hitting the keys harder produces the best sound?

I'm sure theres more to his drumming than that.

And lighten the fuck up! It was just a guy giving his mate a compliment!
