Sam 45
Best album for me of 2010 so far. Only heard it yesterday for the first time but am properly hooked. Got an 8.2 on Pitchfork and they have titled it 'best new music'. Playing Glasgow in July as well, yas!Spotify LinkMyspacePitchfork Review
Guest idol_wild
Probably my favourite album of this year so far, too.

TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I've had a listen to them on Spotify after a recommendation from Phil. I liked what I heard, but I certainly wasn't blown away by them...

RF Scott
I think they're ok, but I'm taken aback at the amount of acclaim they've received.I guess you've heard the kinda stuff that's informed the album whereas others may not have?Either way, I think it's an awesome album and I'm disappointed that I was in too bad a mood yesterday to consider going to see them. Paranoid Android
Despite initially liking this I'm finding it a little bit forgettable and haven't had the urge to listen to it much. Maybe if there hadn't been so many very good / great albums released recently I would have given this more time. But it's far from my top albums of the year. Monster Zero
I haven't even heard of this band. What sort of stuff do they sound like?
Guest idol_wild
I haven't even heard of this band. What sort of stuff do they sound like? They sound like a band I used to really love called For Against.Really good tuneful dreamy pop stuff. Really energetic live show, which differs from the album more than I expected. In a good way.But throw in some early New Order, Cocteau Twins, Kitchens of Distinction, and even OMD, and you're close. Some of their stuff reminds me a little of Broken Social Scene, too.The new 3-track EP is fucking ace.

The rest of the comparisons sound OK though.

Larsen B
I would suggest even a little bit of Felt in there.
