Wooden tuning pegs

Does anyone know the secret to getting a nylon strung, wooden tuning peg in tune and getting it to stay there?

Cheers

If you intend to play it once tuned, then no. Just looking at it is enough to send the tuning to shit. In my eyes those guitars are there so you can practice tuning, not playing.

I have the same problem......on my old cello I fitted those wee 'fine-tuning' things on the bridge end of the strings so I didn't need to use the wooden pegs.

However I can't do that on my autoharp......think I'll try dusting the pegs with whatever violinists use (french chalk??).

So does that work does it? It's driving me mad, I've not picked that guitar up for the last 2-3 days because of it.:swearing:
