Guest Gladstone
All Night is bloody good.I think "epic" describes it best. It's an amazing live track as well.11 out of 5.
Guest Gladstone
All week, I've been trying to put my finger on who the singer sounds like and, after much arguing with the Mrs, it's that guy from Doves. I can now sleep at night.Nice harmonies too!Ah - so he does. Good spot.
Christy
BOMP to remind you that The Deportees are the main support for Stornoway @ Snafu this coming Sunday (11th). Yet another new song will be debuted.
Oedo 808
I kinda thought the ending of that last one was going to be bigger...I think my favourite of the three is Tongue Can't Tell, it's got a bit more oomph than the other two. I hate it when bands throw the kitchen sink at a track on an attempt to make it sound 'bigger'. All the dynamic is already there, no need to try and make it big I don't think.Yes, 'Tongue' is my favourite track too. I bloody love it. modman
I kinda thought the ending of that last one was going to be bigger....Brilliant! I love these bits of constructive criticism, particularly as I'm always striving to reach new heights dynamically.

Lemonade
What's the song you do that's starts quietly but then builds into a big wall of ruddy noise in 4/4? I think the bass and the guitar just hit the same note for ages. You played it at Drummonds about half way through the set. I like that one. Christy
Fuckin ell, Elwood, that's most of our set that you've described. Almost certain that you're talking about All Night, but it could be Bastard.Bastard is my favourite song. It's bigger than the moon
Guest Gladstone
I'm sure it's All Night he's on about - that's the song that he got goosebumps when you played it at Drummonds.
Moose
The only thing Deportees lack is sex appeal. I'll be there on Sunday if Shaki comes to as I have no-one else to go with. I'll be 22 on the 12th so everyone can buy me a pint at midnight.

He has mentioned a lot of late how he wants to come see us..I do! If only you'd stop arranging gigs that clash with my Sunday night bath/MOTD2 ritual! I suppose if 'Miles' demanded that I come as part of his birthday wishes then I'd be obliged to attend.....
