Chef Jang moved?

I Google mapped him and found a dead phone number: 589012

it gave me this number when I called it: 566002

Eventually got through to him. Apparently they HAVE moved and won't be open for another week or two.

Ah well :( At least he's getting a better spot, it's about time. The other sushi places are making a fortune stealing his potential customers!

So where's he moving to?

Huntly street, the diagonal road from union street which lies between starbucks and the new sainsbury express heading up to the gala casino

Isn't there already a sushi place on Huntly Street? I haven't been but I'm sure someone mentioned it somewhere. More sushi is obviously a good thing though.

Thats oryza sushi. I went there for a lunch when it just opened, and when I ordered tuna rolls - they opened a tin of weightwatchers tuna in oil, and just spooned a bit out into a mould.

But on the plus side it encourages more people to go to Chef Jang!

Shouldn't be any competition to Chef Jang then.

I didn't want to be that brutal but you are right.

We were sitting at the counter, when she opened the tin of tuna. I wanted to make sarcastic comments to my wife, but unfortunatly the girl making it was two feet from us.

You should have said something. I always feel that the puplic are let down a lot in this country be poorly run business'. If enough people complained then they might buck up their ideas and get decent food going.

I had a rant on "pet hates" about this, and quite a few folk agree. The funny thing is that people moan all the time about other peoples tastes in music, and rip them new ass holes on forums like this and they did not even have to pay for the privilage. Yet when it comes to paying a few crisp 20 quid notes for a meal, we just sit and take it...and wait for it....in case WE offend the people serves the shite!!

The thing is you have to have a particular kind of food safety certificate to serve raw fish so if they didn't have that then tinned tuna is pretty much the only option available to them. I've been there a few times and thought it was alright and I have heard that it's run by the wife of the chap at Chef Jang's.

Also, they stick seafood/crabsticks in the sushi at Chef Jang's and no one seems to mind, to me that's much more of a cop out than using tinned tuna. At least you know where you are with tuna, god knows what are in crabsticks!
