Another geeky album alphabet list thing

Recommended Posts

After hearing Steve Lamacq go on about this on 6 Music, I'd thought that I'd post it on here.

If you could only have one album for each letter of the alphabet, what would they be? The letter designates the artist rather than the album title, and since I'm dead anal, "The" is removed from the the artist name, and solo artists are recognised by the surname rather than forename. Anyway, I spent some time at work coming up with my list (can't think of an X, so I'm possibly going to form a band called The Xylophones as I don't own any XTC or X-Ray Spex rekkids):

A: Ryan Adams ~ Heartbreaker

B: The Beatles ~ Revolver

C: The Cars ~ The Cars

D: The Decemberists ~ The Crane Wife

E: Errors ~ It's not like something, but it is like whatever

F: Frightened Rabbit ~ Midnight Organ Fight

G: Godspeed You! Black Emperor ~ Lift yr Skinny Fists...

H: Howling Bells ~ Howling Bells

I: Interpol ~ Antics

J: Jane's Addiction ~ Ritual de Habitual

K: Kyuss ~ Blues for the Red Sun

L: Love ~ Forever Changes

M: Manic Street Preachers ~ Holy Bible

N: Nirvana ~ In Utero

O: Okkervil River ~ Black Sheep Boy

P: Pixies ~ Surfer Rosa

Q: Queens of the Stone Age ~ Rated R

R: Replacements ~ Let it Be

S: Smashing Pumpkins ~ Adore

T: Television ~ Marquee Moon

U: U2 ~ Unforgettable Fire

V: Velvet Underground ~ White Light/White Heat

W: Weezer ~ Blue Album

X: ____________

Y: Yo La Tengo ~ I can hear the heart beating as one

Z: Zwan ~ Mary Star of the Sea
