Defect
Should music be instantly likeable? or should it grow on you?bearing in mind a tumor grows on you and its not particularly good.........Is it the case that we hate instantly likeable tunes after about a month.......but songs that grow on us tend to be our long term fave songs.........hence meaning Indian weddings might, in fact may be the way forward, in terms of long term everlasting love.... :] o_O
MattJimF
It seems to me that most of the singles are instantly likeable as the record companies want to make as much money as possible, which is why a lot of the time when you buy an album it takes a few listens to like the other songs, but you do get the odd album that you like the whole of on first listen. Dayeth
A beard also grows on...and they are good.I think songs that grow on are way more interesting, it means that they are deeper and require a bit of understanding, it seems like more of an experience than a one off song that rapidly becomes tiresome. I love listening to favourite songs that I know I used to hate.
