Woodend Barn Posted February 26, 2010 Report Share Posted February 26, 2010 Graeme Stephen and some of the most creative and in demand musicans on the UK folk and jazz scenes will play Woodend Barn in Banchory on Saturday 6 March 8pm.The group is Graeme Stephen (guitar), Ben Davis - of mercury nominees Basquiat Strings (cello), Chris Stout (violin), Fraser Fifield (soprano sax/kaval), Phil Bancroft (alto sax), Mario Caribe (double bass), and Scottish Jazz Drummer of the year Stuart Ritchie. The music draws on all these influences creating an eclectic mix of styles from folk, jazz and classical. Graeme Stephen has been described as one of the most creative musicians in the UK and has won various awards including the Jazz Services Promoters Choice Award and was chosen for the Serious/PRS Take 5 initiative in 2008. The performance will include the suite Vantage-Points inspired by locations throughout Scotland.
